A UGA Memorial Garden Engagement Session

Athens, Georgia

When I was headed out to MaCayla and Paytons engagement, I pulled up my Apple maps to get directions to my destination and instead of maps pulling up Athens, Georgia it pulled up Athens, Greece. I thought to myself, “wow, I wish this is where I was headed.” I know Athens, Greece is amazing and beautiful but honestly the way this engagement session went and ended, I was PERFECTLY satisfied at the location we chose! Greece would have been beautiful but Athens, Georgia has this stunning organic sense about it that had me swoon!!!

We were supposed to be meeting at MaCayla and Paytons wedding venue for their engagement session in Valdosta, Georgia which is very close to where I was born and raised but instead they decided to do it at The Memorial Gardens on University of Georgias college campus. Stepping into the gardens was like stepping into another world. It was absolutely stunning! In the summer when the Hydrangeas blooms it is breathtaking! Choosing two spots in the gardens was very difficult for me because it was just all so perfect.

When I saw a couple walking up to the gardens I immediately knew that is was MaCayla and Payton because of MaCaylas bright red hair! This is so strange, but I have never photographed a red head! I weirdly was so excited to finally get that opportunity. I just think read heads are so uniquely beautiful! I knew this engagement session was going to be special because these two are just the sweetest! MaCayla is so kind and adorable. Payton was AMAZING during their session and you could just immediately tell how IN LOVE with MaCayla he was!!

So, as hard as it was to choose my favorites from this day, enjoy the ones I did pick! I truly hope you think they are as magical as I view them! MaCayla and Payton, I cannot wait for your wedding day. Here we come Valley View Barn. See you next month!
