It seems to be a pattern that I start off every blog post with the fact that I have been connecting with my couples so well but it is so true! I truly feel that my couples and I become friends during the engagement session. That is why it is such an important step in the wedding process for couples. When I first walked up to meet Kelcey and Alex on their engagement session, I was treated with the most amazing smelling candle. I am a HUGE gift giver and that Is how I show my affection, so when they gave me a gift, it meant so much to me!
It was an overcast day in Charleston, but if you know downtown, that does not mean that the engagement session want be magical. I think that Kelcey and Alex engagement session proves that fact!
Alex and Kelcey met about 15 years ago when their parents moved into the same neighborhood early high school in Northern Virginia. After countless school bus riding encounters and a ride or two to school, they went their separate ways until they found each other after college graduation after briefly moving back home. After one quick “hello” while passing through the neighborhood one day, Alex and Kelcey instantly took back to one another. Fast forward 7 years later, Kelcey and Alex have moved to Charleston to begin a life of their own and cannot wait to share this city and its history with their friends and family!
These two are precious and so was their engagement session filled with the most romantic alley ways which was a top priority on their location suggestions. I hope you enjoy these images as I had a blast capturing them all!
