A Spring Belfair Wedding

Bluffton, South Carolina

Belfair is one of those magical places that make you feel like you are in a different world! The moment you drive in, you are greeted by a beautiful driveway of low hanging oaks and spanish moss. The most special thing about Belfair, to Ashley, is that she actually grew up in that area! Belfair has to be one of my favorite wedding venues in the low country. There are endless spots for portraits and I dont think it will ever get old.

Ashley and Matt are the sweetest, kindest souls. They surrounded themselves with the best people on their wedding day. I will never forget the love that was all around them on this day. Their parents love with with all they have! I do not think there was a dry eye all day, including myself! I thought by the 4 year mark of being a wedding photographer, I would finally stop crying at weddings but honestly I don’t think it will ever end. Especially when you are witnessing such great love between two people and their families. Bringing two families together is hard and sometimes it does not always have a great conclusion but Ashley and Matts families come together so gracefully and easily. These two truly have the best support system behind them! Matt actually has a twin brother and I knew this ever since I first met him so I told myself walking into the wedding day that I would NOT mix them up. But of course when I saw them both I could not tell them apart at first. You can just tell how special their bond is and it was just so fun to watch all day. When I first stepped into Ashleys getting ready room, all of her and her girls were so quiet and I commented on how chill they were but they did warn me that later on it would not reflect the morning and they were SO right. Capturing them at the reception was so much fun and seeing their personalities shine was amazing! I seriously adore all of those girls! I always want to make a connection with the bridemaids so they can feel just as comfortable as the bride on the wedding day. When they trust me, they have such a fun day!

Ashley and Matt, it was truly an honor capturing your special day. The love you share together, bleeds off onto your family and friends. It was such a joy to witness! I wish you both years upon years of happiness. I hope you enjoy my favorites from your special day! It was SO hard to choose!!
